MUSIC PUBLICATIONS

Akshay has several international publications on the mridangam and other Indian percussion instruments, furthering his vision of spreading the awareness Carnatic music to diverse communities. He has collaborated with several universities and individuals in areas of analysis, automated transcription (music information retrieval),synthesis and music generation. Akshay's background in electrical engineering with expertise in music have opened several new avenues to research. Currently, he is also working on personal research projects specific to mridangam modifications.
